Andy Whyment probably didn’t expect to get trolled by his own co-star when he updated fans on his life in lockdown.
So the actor decided to out his fellow Coronation Street star on Instagram by revealing what he said to him about a topless moment he had on the social media site.
Alan, who plays Tyrone Dobbs on the ITV soap, compared Andy to a certain classic movie character after seeing him soaking up the sun in his garden. But the 39-year-old, who plays Corrie’s Kirk Sutherland, took it all well and wanted to get Alan back.
Sharing the side-by-side comparison of himself and E.T, Andy wrote: “When @alanhalsall sends you this and says twins he’s absolutely hammered me there.
“It’s a good job we’ve known each other for 30 years and I love him x”
Alan, 37, then reshared the post to his own 194k followers and simply said: “love ya too brother,” showing it was all in good humour.
And Corrie fans found the whole thing pretty hilarious too.
“Oh my god this is hilarious glad you’re up for the banter,” posted one.
Another said: “Omg this made laugh way more than it should of.”
“That’s the funniest thing ever,” added a third.
