Officers want to talk to the ‘ Four Weddings and a Funera l’ star lookalike about a burglary at Tyndale Baptist Church in Bristol.
The man crept into the church during a slimming class on September 3 and took a handbag.
He is described as white, between 6ft 2ins and 6ft 3ins, somewhere between 45 and 60 years old, of slight build, with mousey brown hair which was curly at the sides.
Scot Hannah, 57, has appeared in a wide variety of roles – including playing a police officer.
The e-fit man is not the first celebrity lookalike to be sought by police, either.
In 2018, a video released by police in Blackpool showed a man who looked like David Schwimmer, best known as Ross from Friends, taking beer from a shop.
The post spread widely online, accumulating millions of shares as people pointed out the suspect’s likeness.
The attention even prompted the actor himself to join in.
Schwimmer posted a video to his Twitter account showing him scurrying through a convenience store carrying a crate of beer before looking up at a CCTV camera.
He captioned the video: “Officers, I swear it wasn’t me. As you can see, I was in New York.
“To the hardworking Blackpool Police, good luck with the investigation.”
Anyone with information about the burglary in Bristol is asked to contact Avon and Somerset police on 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5219203442, or report information online via the Force website.
