Over £3000 has been raised for the family of a tragic Rangers fan who didn’t live to see his first birthday.
Billy-Blue Wilson was diagnosed with a heart defect not long after he was born in April.
The four-month-old survived two open heart surgeries and three cardiac catheter procedures.
Tragically, the newborn suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and passed away on August 6.
His father, Mark Wilson, a devoted Rangers fan, posted updates on Billy-Blue’s health on Twitter .
After Billy-Blue’s death Mark wrote on Twitter: “Utter devestation tonight we have had to say goodnight to my beautiful boy after he could not be brought back after a second cardiac arrest.
“What a proud father to call Billy-Blue my son.”
The family, who live in Derbyshire, gained a huge amount of support online.
Dad Mark’s account @SwanSeal now has over 3,500 followers who’ve been posting kind messages to the family throughout Billy-Blue’s hospital battle.
Since Billy-Blue’s passing, a Crowdfunding page has been set up to give the tot the send off he deserved.
So far, over £3,000 has been raised, sixty percent more than the original target.

“Everyone that met him fell in love with him instantly. His fight and determination astounded everyone and we are heart broken.
“No parent should ever have to plan a funeral for their child, but this is our next step in this horrific journey.
“We want to celebrate our boy and celebrate his life.
“Show the world we are proud of our amazing son.”
Touching tributes have poured in for the little one who was a true Gers fan throughout his short life.
